GSA Schedule Program and Features

The General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule program is a government-wide acquisition contract program that provides federal agencies with access to commercial products and services at pre-negotiated prices. GSA Schedule contracts are awarded to companies that meet certain qualifications and offer products or services that are deemed necessary for the government to carry out its mission. These contracts allow federal agencies to purchase goods and services quickly and easily, without the need for a lengthy procurement process.

GSA Schedule (also known as a GSA Contract or Federal Supply Schedule) is a contracting vehicle provided by the General Services Administration (GSA) of the United States government. It allows government agencies to acquire goods and services from pre-approved commercial vendors at pre-negotiated prices.

Benefits of a GSA Schedule for vendors include:

  • Increased visibility and access to government agencies as potential customers
  • Streamlined procurement process for both the vendor and the government
  • Pre-negotiated prices and terms, which can save time and money for both parties

Features of a GSA Schedule include:

  • A wide range of goods and services are available, including office supplies, IT equipment and services, professional services, and more
  • Vendors must go through a competitive bidding process to be awarded a schedule contract
  • Schedule contracts have a term of five years and can be renewed for additional five-year periods
  • Vendors must agree to certain terms and conditions, including compliance with small business subcontracting plans and labor laws, and must submit annual sales reports to GSA.
